Who We Are:

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is an independent local charity and, for over 35 years, has been caring for people in our community who are in the last phase of their lives.

What We Do:

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is much more than a building. We provide tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. At any one time we care for at least 260 patients at home, in nursing and care homes, in hospital and at the Hospice itself.

Why We Need You:

All our services are provided free of charge, thanks to the generous support of fundraisers and donors. Only 16% of our running costs are currently met by the NHS and we rely on our community to fund the remainder, which equates to just over £8.4 million each year.
