About MND Foundation – Motor Neurone Disease Foundation
In late 2024 Steve Redgwell (Our Founder), who has lived with MND for 7 years and his friend Liane Iles (Co-Founder) decided that there was failing in care and support for those living with MND in many parts of the UK. Steve had discovered first hand that parts of the country benefited from Centres of Excellence where all the required specialities for an individual living with this cruel and life limiting illness, were under one roof simultaneously, giving the best coordinated care possible. Liane in her role as the CEO of Challenging MND had also seen the struggle of those afflicted by the disease in juggling a myriad of health care appointments .
Many people across the UK aren’t able to access this specialised gold standard care so both came together with the idea of setting up a charity to change this and take that vital step forward.
Together Steve and Liane have over 70 years of experience in the UK and International insurance markets. Over the last few years this Industry has been incredibly supportive in helping fund the change required to support people living with MND. Their generosity has been overwhelming with the UK market’s supporting both Steves and others various fundraising initiatives.
Encouraged by this show of support Steve has already had agreement of offers for ongoing funding for this new initiative from PIB Group, AON, Ardonagh and McGill, which has catalysed the creation of a new charity :
Motor Neurone Disease Foundation ( MNDF). We are delighted and proud that this Foundation received approval from the Charity Commission in May 2025 and we are now excited to bring the change needed to help those living with MND get the care and support they need from diagnosis to end of life. Our Mission The MND Foundation is committed to ensuring the people and families living with MND are looked after as they should be from Diagnosis to End of Life. The Foundation will help provide MND hubs, wherever there is such need, the first being located in Essex. These Centres will ease the suffering of the families affected by MND by offering a single venue with coordinated care including all the required clinical specialities at a single visit. MND Nurse coordinators will lead this all-embracing support at the centres or, at the individual’s choice via video call or home visit when disability is profound.
Regular follow ups will be offered by the Coordinator to ensure that any deterioration or new support requirement is accessed promptly by the family to avert suffering and/or unnecessary inpatient visit to hospital.
In addition, the MND Foundation will fund research to target finding a cure for all individuals living with MND.

Don't see your charity listed?
You can still jump for them!
Non-partnered charities at GoSkydive offer a unique opportunity to make a positive impact while experiencing the exhilaration of skydiving. These charities, though not officially affiliated with GoSkydive, collaborate to raise funds and awareness for various causes. Participants can choose a cause close to their hearts and raise money individually or as part of a team, diving headfirst into an adrenaline-fuelled adventure that also helps those in need.
Our non-partnered charities still receive the same great discount of £25 off a 10,000ft or 15,000ft skydive that our partnered charities do. All you need to do is pay the balance of your skydive yourself and fundraise as much as you can for your chosen charity on the side!
