Who we are

Since 1981, the charity has funded many developments in cancer care services including clinical elements in the early days, by providing mobile screening units for example. The charity’s purpose has evolved to encompass non-clinical cancer care services and it is only as a result of community generosity that this has been possible.  Our Services Team now provide local, free counselling and complimentary therapies, access to a hardship fund providing grants to alleviate unexpected financial difficulty and information from a broad range of literature.

What we do

Our Vision: “To provide effective, local support and information for all people living with or affected by cancer.”

At our support centres you will be warmly welcomed by our trained volunteers who will offer you a friendly face and a listening ear as well as a hot drink and a chance to ‘step off the world’ for a little while. They will not be judgemental in any way and will always keep whatever you say in the strictest confidence. We lovingly refer to these volunteers as ‘befrienders’.

Why we need you

With thanks to the generous public we are currently supporting people living with or affected by cancer through local, free counselling and complimentary therapies, access to our hardship fund that provides grants to alleviate unexpected financial difficulties, and through our broad range of informative literature. We rely on the generosity of our supporters in order to provide our free support to people living with cancer. Our incredible fundraisers make a real difference to the lives of local people living with cancer. Whether you’re planning to climb a mountain, jump out a plane or hold a bake sale, we think you’re amazing!

A list of charities that we are partnered with are here for you to select. Some of the charities that we work with have fundraising targets and others are self-funded by yourself, each charity we work with will state if they will contribute to some of your jump cost or if you need to self-fund your own place.

You can book individually or as a group with just a £50 deposit per person on any operational day. Some of the charities we work with have reserved spaces on pre-selected days that you are more than welcome to join.

OK you’re all set – This is now the time to start fundraising for your selected charity, we recommend to set up an online fundraising page as all funds you raise will automatically go to the charity of your choice. Please remember you are unable to use any money raised to pay for your skydive and if you have a target set by the charity you have to hit this 3 weeks before the date of your jump to ensure these funds are online for the charity to see!
