We named our charity The Red Lipstick Foundation as Brittany was such a make-up fanatic. She loved her bright red lipstick, which suited her vivacious and quirky personality. Her untimely death was extremely unexpected as to everyone she was the life and soul of the party with a permanent cheery smile. None of us will ever know what that smile concealed.
What we do
Whilst trying to seek help in the months following Brittany’s death, we’ve found a lack of professional support emotionally, financially and practically. There are long waiting lists for bereavement support and some organisations, although excellent, offer general guidance only. We needed something specific and something local.
Why we need you
We have lost a vibrant young person, not someone who died after a long illness. It’s very different. The Red Lipstick Foundation will fill this gap by offering support to families bereaved through suicide or sudden death.
