The Rainbow Centre helps children and adults from all over Hampshire with neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, MS and strokes to live active and independent lives.
We aim to give children from as young as 6 months old the best possible chance to overcome their disabilities and help them to do the things we all take for granted such as being able to sit upright, stand and walk without assistance.
What we do
At The Rainbow Centre we also help adults withParkinson’s, MS and strokes to re-gain the essential living skills lost through illness and learn practical strategies to negotiate everyday tasks and situations. In other words, to live as normal a life as possible for as long as possible.
With your help we can change the lives of children like 4 year old Reuben. Reuben’s parents were told that he would never have any quality of life or the ability to speak. However, thanks to Rainbow his speech is developing and he’s become a little chatter box. He has also begun to use a walker, which helps to build strength in his legs and gives him the independence to move around freely – this has done wonders for his self-esteem and made him a much happier little boy.
Why we need you
The Centre receives no Government funding and therefore relies on the local community, businesses, fundraising events and of course adrenaline seekers to dive from great heights in order to raise the £632,000 that we need every year to continue delivering our life changing services.
Please join our team to help brighten up the sky and make a Rainbow plane.
