Who we are

Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12 years by providing respite breaks and on-going outreach support. We give young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

Our vision is for every child to be able to make the most of their one chance at childhood.

What we do

Honeypot Children’s Charity offers both respite breaks and outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children, many of whom would otherwise have nowhere to turn. We are proud to be the only charity in the UK offering consistent support throughout childhood; from the age of 5 until a child’s 12^th birthday.

Why we need you

Without the kindness of people like you, our service could not exist. Although our support is completely free to the children and families we work with, it comes at a price. We need to raise almost a million pounds a year to offer our help, and we receive virtually no money from the government. This means that we are reliant on individuals, business’ and organisations to help us reach our target.

A million pounds is a lot of money, but with a little help from a lot of people, we are able to support thousands of children every year.  There are lots of ways you can fundraise for us from challenge events and marathons to car washes and cake sales. Every pound raised will have a profoundly positive effect on the life of a child; something money can’t buy.
