Who we are

The Dorset Children’s Foundation was set up to improve and enrich the lives of local disabled young people and their families who are experiencing difficulties related to the impact of disability, including physical health, emotional strain, and social isolation through a range of provisions. We have 3 successful charity shops that more than cover our modest overheads. Their profits, combined with our fundraising campaigns, allow us to donate directly to the children who need it most. 100% of all donations to The Dorset Children’s Foundation go to support local disabled children.

What we do.

We fund medical expenses, therapies, mobile equipment not provided by the NHS. The DCF donates to both individuals and other charitable bodies. We also grant life enriching experiences, to create special memories that last longer than a lifetime.

As we keep our overheads and expenses to a minimum so far we have been able to donate in excess of £500,000.

We are big enough to make a difference, small enough to care.
