Who We Are:

Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity. We work to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer. We’re the only charity fighting ovarian cancer on all three of these fronts, across all four nations of the UK.

Ovarian cancer can be devastating. But there is hope – Target Ovarian Cancer. We work with women, family members and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for those living with ovarian cancer.

Research spend on ovarian cancer in the UK has dropped by a third in five years and awareness of ovarian cancer is low, both among women and GPs, with two thirds of women diagnosed once the cancer has already spread. Together we can fund life-saving research to help double survival rate and make sure women are diagnosed at the earliest possible stage, so take on a skydive today for Target Ovarian Cancer and save lives.

What we do:

Our campaigns tackle the three biggest barriers to progress: late diagnosis, limited choice of treatments, and the isolation often felt by women with ovarian cancer. We work with women with ovarian cancer and their families and friends, politicians, policy makers, healthcare practitioners, the media and others in the field to deliver change.

Where your fundraising will go:

£14 could enable 2 GPs to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer and best practice for early diagnosis

£34 could pay for one hour of medical research into new treatments

£50 could help 50 people to learn about the symptoms of ovarian cancer by receiving our symptoms leaflet

£100 could provide 60 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer with a printed copy of one our Information Standard accredited publications, offering expert advice, practical information and emotional support.

Last year we spent 65p of every pound raised to support women with a diagnosis, improve early diagnosis and research new and improved treatments.

In 2017 we celebrated funding more than £1m in ovarian cancer research since we began in 2008, investing in world class ovarian cancer-specific research.
