ABOUT OUR CHARITY SKYDIVES

Invite your friends and family to jump with you or just help us spread the word about our charity skydives. The more people we get to jump the more money we raise for Prospect Hospice.

Who we are:

Our vision is for excellence and choice in end-of-life care for everyone. In the services that we provide for people, it is our goal to make their experience with Prospect Hospice one that is typified by individualised care, given free of charge, how and where they wish it to be. Prospect Hospice is the only adult hospice in the Swindon, Marlborough and the north east Wiltshire area. We support a diverse population of more than 300,000 people on the basis of their need and no other factor.

What we do:

We work within our community in partnership with patients, their families and organisations to provide a broad range of excellent care opportunities.  Our services are led by the needs of local people diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and those of their families too. In 2016-17 we cared for and supported almost 6,600 people, as patients, carers and family members, through a range of services developed to bring care, comfort and confidence at life’s most difficult time.

For patients, there are teams of nurses, doctors and therapists, bringing care at the Hospice in Wroughton, at the Outreach Centre in Marlborough, in their own homes and care homes and through a palliative care team based at the Great Western Hospital. Carers and family members also benefit from services designed to help their coping when a loved one has accessed our care.

Why we need you:

In 2016-17 it cost more than £8m to provide the care and raise the vital funds needed to provide the care which our patients and their families depend on each year. We receive less than 30 per cent of our income from statutory organisations such as the NHS – the rest we raise ourselves. It is thanks to our supporters, like you, that we are able to continue to provide excellent care to our patients and their families.

1. SELECT A CHARITY

A list of charities that we are partnered with are here for you to select. Some of the charities that we work with have fundraising targets and others are self-funded by yourself, each charity we work with will state if they will contribute to some of your jump cost or if you need to self-fund your own place.

2. BOOK YOUR SKYDIVE

You can book individually or as a group with just a £50 deposit per person on any operational day. Some of the charities we work with have reserved spaces on pre-selected days that you are more than welcome to join.

3. START FUNDRAISING

OK you’re all set – This is now the time to start fundraising for your selected charity, we recommend to set up an online fundraising page as all funds you raise will automatically go to the charity of your choice. Please remember you are unable to use any money raised to pay for your skydive and if you have a target set by the charity you have to hit this 3 weeks before the date of your jump to ensure these funds are online for the charity to see!

Charity not listed? Not a problem...

If your charity is not listed you can still book an independent charity skydive.
