Who are we:
Positive about Down syndrome (PADS) provides up to date resources and support for expectant and new parents of a child with a high chance or confirmed diagnosis. We empower parents giving them the knowledge and skills to ensure their child thrives and gains independence. We work hard to ensure no parent feels alone and has access to the right information and support they deserve. We celebrate people with Down syndrome.
What we do:
PADS ensures expectant and new parents have access to real lived stories and up to date contemporary information and support to help make informed decisions. We provide resources, online training and workshops from specialists with extensive knowledge of Down syndrome, and access to a non judgemental closed community for parents to meet other parents and advice from experts of Down syndrome easing worries, anxieties, and loneliness.
Why we need you:
Approximately 1000 babies are born each year with a diagnosis of Down syndrome. By supporting DSUK you will help us get closer to reaching our vision of providing all expectant and new parents of a baby with Down syndrome with the information and resources they deserve at the earleiset stage, giving knowledge and skills so that their baby thrives.
Raising money for your tandem skydive via an online fundraising page makes it quick and simple for your friends and family to support you. You can share the link to your fundraising page via your social media pages and through texts and emails. If you haven't done so already click through now and set-up your page.
fundraising ideasA list of charities that we are partnered with are here for you to select. Some of the charities that we work with have fundraising targets and others are self-funded by yourself, each charity we work with will state if they will contribute to some of your jump cost or if you need to self-fund your own place.
You can book individually or as a group with just a £50 deposit per person on any operational day. Some of the charities we work with have reserved spaces on pre-selected days that you are more than welcome to join.
OK you’re all set – This is now the time to start fundraising for your selected charity, we recommend to set up an online fundraising page as all funds you raise will automatically go to the charity of your choice. Please remember you are unable to use any money raised to pay for your skydive and if you have a target set by the charity you have to hit this 3 weeks before the date of your jump to ensure these funds are online for the charity to see!
Charity not listed? Not a problem...
If your charity is not listed you can still book an independent charity skydive.
