Who we are:

Diverse Abilities support children and adults living with learning and physical disabilities in Dorset each and every day, plus their families too.

Our ethos is all about positivity. No matter what physical or learning disability the people we support have, we ensure they have fun and can take full advantage of the opportunities we provide.

What we do:

All donations raised will help us to continue supporting our four services:

  • Langside Special School: A specialist school for children and young people aged 2-19 years living with profound disabilities. Langside School provides incredible experiences and allows students to achieve their full potential, alongside nursing support in every class.
  • The Children’s Team: Ensuring over 600 children are supported with an enjoyable childhood, while enabling us to enhance and build our lifelong goal to help families cope with the pressures they face caring for a child with lifetime disabilities.
  • Adult Services: From supporting adults with a disability to live independently in their own home to Barnabas – a place for adults living with disabilities to learn new skills, get access to fun opportunities and meet new people
  • Advice Team: Offering assistance to people living with all types of disabilities and health conditions (eg. Dementia, MND, a stroke) and of all ages, our fantastic advice team support over 450 people every year who are perhaps struggling with complicated issues of situations.

Why we need you:

Your support changes lives.

Without incredible people like you doing extraordinary fundraising challenges, our services would not exist and the people we support would not have the care they deserve.

1. SELECT A CHARITY

A list of charities that we are partnered with are here for you to select. Some of the charities that we work with have fundraising targets and others are self-funded by yourself, each charity we work with will state if they will contribute to some of your jump cost or if you need to self-fund your own place.

2. BOOK YOUR SKYDIVE

You can book individually or as a group with just a £50 deposit per person on any operational day. Some of the charities we work with have reserved spaces on pre-selected days that you are more than welcome to join.

3. START FUNDRAISING

OK you’re all set – This is now the time to start fundraising for your selected charity, we recommend to set up an online fundraising page as all funds you raise will automatically go to the charity of your choice. Please remember you are unable to use any money raised to pay for your skydive and if you have a target set by the charity you have to hit this 3 weeks before the date of your jump to ensure these funds are online for the charity to see!

Charity not listed? Not a problem...

If your charity is not listed you can still book an independent charity skydive.
