Who we are

Daisy’s Dream is a Berkshire based charity which specializes in working with children, young people and their families who are living with the impact of serious illness or who have been bereaved. Our  mission is to provide free, professional support to these children – led by their individual needs – in a flexible and responsive manner and to help them with the changing dynamics of family life.

We aim for families and children to be able to integrate and manage these changes in their family and move forward with confidence and resilience.

What we do

Daisy’s Dream provides:

  • A free service for children and young people dealing with the death or serious illness of someone close to them – dependent on fundraising and donations
  • A service delivered by professionally qualified staff
  • A community based outreach service
  • Individual support which is needs led and focuses on the child and family
  • Groups for children, young people, their parents and carers
  • Advice, support and information to families, individuals and the wider community including Social Care, Health, Education and Voluntary agencies
  • Training for professionals on bereavement, serious illness and strategies to support children and young people

 Why we need you

The death or serious illness of someone close to a child can have a devastating effect on their lives. Daisy’s Dream believes that with the right support, children can move forward with resilience.

Last year, Daisy’s Dream supported 722 children who had been bereaved, or were facing bereavement, and the service costs around £400,000 pa to run. The charity doesn’t receive any government funding for its work and it is very important to us that we provide our support and advice services to children and families free of charge. As such, fundraising plays a very big part in the work that we do. Your skydive could make a real difference to a young person’s future. We hope you’ll join us and choose to Dive for Daisy’s Dream!

1. SELECT A CHARITY

A list of charities that we are partnered with are here for you to select. Some of the charities that we work with have fundraising targets and others are self-funded by yourself, each charity we work with will state if they will contribute to some of your jump cost or if you need to self-fund your own place.

2. BOOK YOUR SKYDIVE

You can book individually or as a group with just a £50 deposit per person on any operational day. Some of the charities we work with have reserved spaces on pre-selected days that you are more than welcome to join.

3. START FUNDRAISING

OK you’re all set – This is now the time to start fundraising for your selected charity, we recommend to set up an online fundraising page as all funds you raise will automatically go to the charity of your choice. Please remember you are unable to use any money raised to pay for your skydive and if you have a target set by the charity you have to hit this 3 weeks before the date of your jump to ensure these funds are online for the charity to see!

Charity not listed? Not a problem...

If your charity is not listed you can still book an independent charity skydive.
