Who we are

The Chrysalis Uganda Project is an exciting branch of the Africa Childrens Development Trust, an amazing charity set up in 2007 by Isle of Wight Chiropractor Nikki Collinson.

What we do

Chrysalis Uganda is on a mission to help Mums in Uganda who are living in poverty get that rung up the ladder to a better life for themselves and their families. Focusing on being able to have a roof over their heads and food on the table (things that for many are daily struggles) as a first priority, then the ability to put their children through school, cover medical bills and perhaps one day buy a plot of land to build their own home.

Why we need you

We provide small interest-free micro financing loans to women to help set up their own business and provide support and guidance along the way. These ladies are proud, they do not want charity. All they need is someone to give them a hand onto the first rung of the ladder so that they can work their way out of poverty.  Each of our ladies is given an interest free business loan, business training and a bank account along with ongoing to support to help them break their cycle of poverty and change the future for themselves and their families.
