Who We Are:

Amelia’s Rainbow supports children in Dorset with complex disabilities or serious, chronic or terminal illnesses. We create an environment full of fun, learning, achievement and memories.

We were set up by a local family who lost their daughter Amelia to an aggressive form of childhood cancer in 2010. Amelia was fun loving and generous to the core. Whilst receiving treatment Amelia used some of her money to buy an Xbox for one of her friends with whom she had spent time within the hospital. She appreciated the gifts that she had benefitted from; but felt that other children should also have the same. After her passing, her parents Karl and Chantel used her inspiration to help other families in need. Her generosity & kindness still inspires others to better the lives of children in Dorset.

What We Do:

We support over 150 children thanks to the fundraising and donations from wonderful businesses, individuals and trusts. It is our aim to enable children and their families to be able to have fun through the tough times that many face whether that is by fundraising a Rainbow Gift for family days out, a special trip, leisure activities or providing requested items that enhance the child’s fun, learning or memory making.

Our families are also able to book and spend time at our Amelie’s Retreat Holiday Home and Beach Hut to take quality time together as a family. These facilities are fully funded by donations.

Why We Need You:

Amelia’s Rainbow is a needs driven charity and we are seeing an increase in the number of families that require our support. We believe in working within our community to create a network of support and provide a conduit to allow others to help families in Dorset.

This year is our 10 year anniversary for Amelia’s Rainbow and our aim is to raise funds for a wheelchair adapt caravan. We have approximately 30 families that are unable to use our current caravan, with a new facility we hope to offer them the same opportunities we do with other families we support. All our income comes from donations and due to the pandemic, we have seen donations drop so your support is appreciated more than ever.

1. SELECT A CHARITY

A list of charities that we are partnered with are here for you to select. Some of the charities that we work with have fundraising targets and others are self-funded by yourself, each charity we work with will state if they will contribute to some of your jump cost or if you need to self-fund your own place.

2. BOOK YOUR SKYDIVE

You can book individually or as a group with just a £50 deposit per person on any operational day. Some of the charities we work with have reserved spaces on pre-selected days that you are more than welcome to join.

3. START FUNDRAISING

OK you’re all set – This is now the time to start fundraising for your selected charity, we recommend to set up an online fundraising page as all funds you raise will automatically go to the charity of your choice. Please remember you are unable to use any money raised to pay for your skydive and if you have a target set by the charity you have to hit this 3 weeks before the date of your jump to ensure these funds are online for the charity to see!

Charity not listed? Not a problem...

If your charity is not listed you can still book an independent charity skydive.
